•          Pentium 4 has a 32 bit address bus giving a maximum of 2³² or 4Gb of addressable RAM

•          The Athlon 64 has a 64 bit address bus

•          AMD’s have a much bigger CPU cache meaning that a 1.8 Ghz AMD processor runs as fast as a 3.0 Ghz Intel processor
